Hi and welcome to my first blog post on my snazzy new and improved website. I’m so happy you’ve joined me on my bookish adventure!

A little about me: I’m a mom, a reader, a tea drinker (okay, tea guzzler), and author of smart, suspenseful, and stealthily romantic adventures. Because I like to hop around between genres, I write under two pen names—Janet Raye Stevens and Evie Kelley—so whatever you like to read, chances are I’ve written it.

If you like mystery, history, and time travel, check out my books written as Janet Raye Stevens, including the Beryl Blue, Time Cop adventures, featuring feisty librarian Beryl Blue and her WWII soldier hero Sully, taking on temporal bad guys and threats to the timeline with action, wit, and a whole lot of banter.

As Evie Kelley, I write romantic suspense with a sci-fi twist, like the award-winning The Nascent Bloom: Book 1 Caught and my soon-to-be-released, Kilroy Was Here: Adventure on Abergin, a space opera romance I call Indiana Jones meets Romancing the Stone – in space!

I’ll post here on a sort-of regular basis with news about what I’m working on, the writing life, fun facts about history, mystery, and tea, and totally true stories from my life sure to embarrass my kids but guaranteed to make you laugh. Stay tuned!
